Japan is very organized. This umbrella holder—with locks, because you never know who might get desperate in a downpour—was just outside the foyer where we left our shoes to explore the castle interior.

lest it should rain

Out in the castle gardens, some of the sakura trees graciously held onto their last blooms for us.
